Every year since 1986, the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland has inducted a new group of music legends. In this, the 35th anniversary, there is once again a wide variety of worthy artists ranging from pop and rock, to rap, new wave, alternative rock and, in the ‘early influences’ category, one of the earliest blues guitar masters and the pioneers of electronic music. Variety – to be sure! I’ll spotlight many of this year’s inductees in our one-hour feature.
For music fans, there isn’t a much better destination – especially so close to Toronto – as The R&R Hall of Fame in downtown Cleveland. I’ve been there a few times myself, and still haven’t seen it all. It’s massive, and fascinating, and ever-changing with rotating special features. I highly recommend it !
Plus: a half-hour salute to The Barenaked Ladies on the occasion of Ed Robertson’s 51st birthday. And during our first-hour feature: ‘This Week in Zoomer Music‘, saluting ‘the last original Temptation’, remembering the funeral of the man once called ‘The World’s Greatest Entertainer’, that week when both TIME and Newsweek featured Bruce Springsteen on their covers, and ‘The Story Behind the Song‘ – ‘American Pie’ – on the 50th anniversary of the album’s release.
I hope you’ll tune in this Sunday from 2:00 to 4:30.
