Valentine’s Day always brings out the romantic songs on Vintage Favourites – and this year’s no different. Our main feature is ‘A Sunday Kind of Love‘: eight great songs about – you guessed it – Sundays and romance. Plus ten Canadian superstars singing some of the greatest love songs of all. You can almost hear them in your mind right now: Bryan Adams, Burton Cummings. Paul Anka, Michael Buble, Gordon Lightfoot, Shania Twain, Anne Murray, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen and Celine Dion. You’ll certainly hear them this Sunday afternoon.
The show’s first hour is: ‘Our Sunday Best – A Century of #1 Hits‘ – featuring songs that were #1 this week in years past. This Sunday we’ll go from Guy Lombardo in 1929 to Britney Spears in 1999 – with Lloyd Price and The Beatles, some psychedelia and some disco in between. And I’ll tell you ‘The Story Behind the Song‘ ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy’ by Rod Stewart.
There’ll be lots of love – and love songs – on Vintage Favourites this Sunday (Feb.12) from 2:00 to 4:30 … I hope you’ll tune in.
