Winnipeg is to be the head office location for Canada’s newest airline. NewLeaf Travel Company is conceived as an ultra low-cost carrier, claiming to be the first of its kind to launch in Canada. NewLeaf intends to provide the low base fare, minimalist service combination that has been very successful in Europe. In addition to basic air transportation, NewLeaf announced it will offer customers vacation packages which will include flights, hotel accommodations, rental vehicles and even entertainment.

In partnership with Flair Airlines, NewLeaf will offer scheduled daily nonstop flights from the Company’s bases in Kelowna, Winnipeg and Hamilton to multiple domestic and international destinations. Hamilton is a low stress alternative to Toronto Pearson for western GTA-ers and so Newleaf’s arrival is worth looking out for. NewLeaf says customers will save money through low fares that are unbundled and transparent; only paying for what they want and use, with no surprises.
