Coming up this week on Finding Your Bliss, we have Leslie Ehm on the program. Leslie is a Swagger Coach, training guru, speaker and author who’s helped thousands of professionals discover and unleash their unique brand of swagger – and find success just by being who they really are.

A former TV host, Leslie has spent 15 years travelling the globe with her award-winning training company Combustion helping top executives, leaders and teams in Fortune 100 companies break out of their false personas, learn how to embrace their superpowers, find their voices and become the badasses they were born to be. And now she’s put all of her tips, tricks, insights and tales of inspiration into Swagger – Unleash Everything You Are and Become Everything You Want (May 2021).

She has worked with executives and teams from top organizations like Google, Disney, Pepsico, Lenovo TD Bank, FBC, Uber, and so many more. She’s turned technologists into creative forces, bankers into storytellers, and has brought a serious dose of “badass-ness” to boardrooms everywhere. Fuelled by her unrelenting passion to unleash true human potential and based on her experience working with thousands of professionals from CEOs down to new grads, Leslie is also the author of Swagger: Unleash Everything You Are and Become Everything You Want (coming May 2021). She now devotes much of her time to working as a Swagger Coach and speaker. She’s also a passionate amateur boxer and fighter for the good.

Also on the program, Robert Horvath is a Classical concert pianist. He earned his Masters’ Degree in Classical Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the prestigious Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, in 1995. The great Canadian star pianist Valerie Tryon describes Robert as “a fine pianist with musical imagination and sensitivity.”

Robert is a popular soloist with the Cathedral Bluffs Symphony Orchestra, and he has also performed Rachmaninov’s First and Second Piano Concertos, Chopin First piano concerto and performed 4 of J.S. and Bach’s keyboard concertos, all on the very same day. Just a few of the many venues and series he has appeared at includes the Roy Thomson Hall, the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, the Koerner Hall, the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre, as well as with the Ottawa Chamberfest, Festival of the Sound, the Collingwood Festival, and the Indian River Festival.

An important priority for Robert Horvath is music education. He is a deeply committed teacher and he founded the Horvath School of Music in Toronto -Forest Hill area in 2002.

In addition to his outstanding classical skills, Robert is also the pianist for the contemporary chamber music ensemble, the Payadora Tango Ensemble. His versatility extends to the idioms of jazz , Argentinian tango and musical theatre. In the summer of 2019 he was featured with the Payadora Tango Ensemble in the Vancouver Island MusicFest and in Vancouver’s prestigious Music in the Morning series. He has also toured in Ontario and in Florida with the Payadora Ensemble.

The Payadora also recently co-produced a film with the PointeTango Dance Company called Tango in the Dark, and Robert created the gorgeous arrangement for the film, featuring traditional and contemporary Argentine tango music. The film was made for Valentine’s Day and it tells a story of passion and desire set against the rhythmic beat of the city night. The music includes tango arrangements made by the Payadora Ensemble`s members Robert Horvath on the piano, the Grammy award nominee Drew Jurecka on the bandoneon, and arrangements by bassist Joseph Philips and original compositions by violinist Rebekah Wolkstien.

As well the PointeTango Dance Company is made up of principal dancers, Erin Scott-Kafadar and Alexander Richardson. PointeTango is a unique, “one-of-a-kind” dance company directed by choreographer Alexander Richardson and created by lead dancer Erin Scott-Kafadar. By combining the intimacy of Argentinian Tango with the precision of Classical Ballet, a new dance vocabulary has been created—one that respects the tradition of Argentinian Tango and pushes the envelope by creating new and exciting possibilities. PointeTango is the only dance company in the world that combines ballet and tango fusion. (www.PointeTango.com
