Luke Aikens is a very experienced skydiver, having made more than 18-thousand jumps, but up until Saturday they were all with a parachute, deployed just in time to slow him down before reaching ground.

In Saturday’s jump in California, the 42 year old Aikins plunged 25-thousand feet, reaching speeds of 150 miles and hour, and landed in a giant net.

The 100 by 100 foot net had a set of lights that Aikins could focus on and adjust his downward flight. It was help up by four 2-hundred foot cranes, and it had another net inside it that prevented Aikins from bouncing back out.
