U.S. President Barack Obama said no thank you but Donald Trump’s campaign is saying yes to the Keystone XL pipeline, if elected. Trump will ask Calgary-based company TransCanada Corp. to re-submit its proposal for the stalled pipeline. Reviving the has been Republican party policy although Trump has occasionally suggested he might seek a deal that’s more financially beneficial for the United States. TransCanada has taken legal action against the U.S. government; it recently filed for NAFTA arbitration and is seeking $15 billion in damages, claiming the rejection politically driven. Trump’s position on the pipeline was included in highlights package distributed today before a major economic speech which included massive tax reductions on everything from businesses to child-care costs. He also reaffirmed his plan to walk away from NAFTA or renegotiate it and he also announced he’ll repeal climate change regulations.
