PLACIDO DOMINGO BRINGS MUSIC BACK TO HURRICANE RAVAGED VENUE

Placido Domingo brought the music back to a Houston theatre that was severely damaged by Hurricane Harvey last year. He was the headliner this week at a gala reopening of the Wortham Theatre Center. Domingo performed at that venue 30 years ago at its original opening. Theatre spokesperson Sheila Turkiewisca says it’s been tough rebuilding because there’s a mix of old and new elements.The theatre suffered about 100 million dollars of damage last year.
