As you plan your long weekend drive, police have a warning. The OPP are out in full force on the province’s highways cracking down on the big 4 causes of death on the road: aggressive, distracted, impaired driving and not wearing a seat belt. So far this year, police report 156 deaths on OPP-patrolled roads and they’ve laid more than 175-thousand dangerous driving charges. The weekend safety blitz called Operation Impact will run through the holiday weekend.
