Mirvish Productions is filling out its upcoming season with new musicals and revamped crowd favourites. The Toronto Theatre company unveiled its 24 upcoming shows with a preview of several. Audiences will enjoy a re-imagined Broadway production of CATS and the Canadian premiere of the wildly popular HAMILTON.
THE BAND’s VISIT makes its Canadian premiere starring Canadian Broadway star Chillina Kennedy. PIAF/DIETRICH is the story of Edith Piaf and Marlene Dietrich, two of the biggest names in show biz in the early 20’s. Director Gordon Greenberg says the film shows a glimpse of their fiery friendship. Rounding out the big six productions, ANASTASIA, HELLO DOLLY and GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY that features the music of Bob Dylan, a first for the big stage.
And COME FROM AWAY returns for its second year and concludes at the Elgin Theatre December 1 and opens on December 13th at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. New productions of MISS SAIGON and LES MISERABLES arrive next in May and June. Also on the playbill the sounds of the ’60s and ’70s with THE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL STORY and the musical SUMMER, based on the life of disco diva Donna Summer. For more information, visit
