She co-founded “The Supremes” and remained a member of the group until they split up in 1977.
Mary Wilson was with Diana Ross and Florence Ballard when they became Motown’s most successful act of the 1960s scoring 12 number one singles.
Wilson’s publicist confirmed the death but did not provide a cause.
Wilson became a best selling author in 1986 with the release of her autobiography, “Dreamgirl: My Life As a Supreme.” Two years later the the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Mary Wilson was 76.
