Buckingham Palace says a full outline will likely be released Saturday but some details have emerged.
Prince Philip will not lie in state, nor will he have a state funeral, in keeping with his wishes.
A statement says he will ”lie at rest” inn Windsor Castle ahead of the funeral at St. George’s Chapel that is likely to be attended by close family.
The palace says in view of the pandemic ”it is regretfully requested that members of the public do not attempt to attend or participate in any of the events that make up the funeral.”
Prince William and Prince Harry have posted full-page tributes to their grandfather on their foundations’ websites.
The bells of the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill rang 99 times, once for every year of Philip’s life.
”Prince Philip will be remembered as a champion for young people, a decorated naval officer, a dedicated philanthropist and a constant in the life of Queen Elizabeth II,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Philip and the Queen were married for 73-years.  For more on the life of the prince go to everythingzoomer.com.
