QUEBEC CROONER MICHEL LOUVAIN DIES AT 83

A member of the Order of Canada and a popular Quebec entertainer, who left his mark on an entire generation of adoring fans, has died of cancer in Montreal.

Michel Louvain was best known for his signature song, “Les Dames en bleu.”

He’d been diagnosed with cancer earlier this month.

Louvain’s musical career spanned some 60-years and he had planned a full, post-pandemic tour in support of his latest album.

He also had a TV career, hosting several programs beginning in 1963.

He was named to the Order of Canada in 2015.

Michel Louvain was 83.
