Zoomers of a certain age, especially those who were girls in the 1970s, will certainly remember these guys.

Former Bay City Rollers front man Les McKeown has died.

The Scottish entertainer was lead singer during the Edinburgh band’s most successful period in the 1970s.

His family announced online that McKeown died suddenly yesterday at his home.

The tartan clad band was a sensation in both sides of the Atlantic and sold more than 120-million records.

Les McKeown was 65.
