There was another testy exchange in the legislature Tuesday between Opposition Leader Andrea Horwath and Long Term Care Minister Merilee Fullerton.

“It is unfathomable that she didn’t simply say yes, we’re going to implement every one of those recommendations and five days later, the minister still refused to apologize and still will not admit to her failure,” shouted Andrea Horwath across the legislative aisle.

Fullerton then turned the tables and blamed Horwath for the failings in long term care.

“Look at your failure, I was left to pick up the pieces from a devastating 15 years of neglect and I will not be spoken to this way by the Leader of the Opposition who neglected this sector as the Opposition at the time,” shouted Fullerton.

Almost 4,000 Ontario seniors died from COVID-19 during the pandemic.
