Ottawa is rolling out a rapid testing program for businesses across Canada.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says 26M have been sent to provinces and over 1M directly to workplaces.
“And in Ontario, small and medium sized businesses and organizations can now get rapid tests at over 40 Shoppers Drug Mart locations, additional distribution locations and pharmacies will be added soon,” said Trudeau.
Late but welcome news according Dan Kelly with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.
“This is very encouraging that the feds have finally stepped up, there was another announcement by the provincial government and that’s good news as well, finally, 14 months into the pandemic, the governments are starting to get their acts together.”
In Ontario, the Chamber of Commerce has announced a new testing program with over 760,000 tests rolling out to businesses across the province distributed through local chambers and boards of trade.
