It’s been more than a year since Toronto theatres were shuttered by COVID-19. Now comes word of a comeback.
Mirvish Productions plans to mount “Blindness” on the stage of the Princess Wales Theatre beginning August 4th.
It’ll be the Canadian premier of the Donmar Warehouse production which is described as a socially distanced, sound installation.
According to Mirvish, “Blindness” will be the first indoor theatre presentation in Toronto since the pandemic shut down all theatres.
Audiences will be limited to 50 people per performance and will be seated in pods of one or two. Everyone in attendance, including all staff, will be masked.
Tickets go on sale June 23rd. Details on performance schedules and prices will be announced soon.
