The province is reporting 296 new COVID-19 cases.
The last time we saw daily numbers below 300 was September 17, 2020.
Of the new cases, 62 are in Peel Region, 60 in Toronto, 45 in Waterloo, 15 in York and 12 in Durham.
The rolling 7-day average of daily infections; one of the key indicators of the pandemic’s growth or decline, is now at 479 – its lowest point since September 29.
The average peaked at nearly 4,400 in April.
Another key benchmark is at least 20% of adults fully immunized; a target Ontario might reach by the end of this week.
