A new milestone will be reached on Friday with 35 percent of adult Toronto residents having received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
To date, well over 3.1 million COVID-19 first and second doses have been given in Toronto ahead of Sunday’s big vaccination day in the city.
Some 25,000 people have booked appointments for the one day mass clinic at Scotiabank Arena.
Toronto Mayor John Tory is advising you’ll want to arrive a little earlier than your appointment time. But he also points out Scotiabank arena is a huge facility and the 25,000 appointments are spread out from 7 in the morning to late at night, so he’s not worried about crowding.
In fact, the mayor plans to get his second dose of COVID vaccine at the one day clinic first thing on Sunday.
Anyone in Toronto headed to a vaccine appointment on Sunday, either at the mass clinic or any other clinic, may ride the TTC without paying simply by showing proof of a vaccine appointment.
