A new UN report has made it explicitly clear: humanity is responsible for the warming planet and immediate action is needed to prevent the worst of effects of climate change.

The report says humanity’s consumption of fossil fuels has already contributed to warming the planet that will be in place for centuries.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report says their report should be a “code red for humanity.”

The world has already warmed an average of 1.2 degrees and we could pass the 1.5 degree threshold within the next few decades.

Advocates are demanding immediate action to prevent the potentially catastrophic 2 degree warming by the end of the century.

The panel says there’s only one thing that will prevent the worst of the warming: reduce greenhouse gas emissions to zero and do it as quickly as possible.
