SIX-IN-TEN CANADIANS FEEL NOW'S NOT TIME FOR ELECTION: POLL

The Trudeau Liberals have opened up a 6% lead over the O’Toole Conservatives according to a new survey from Mainstreet Research.
This as an election call could come Sunday when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s expected to visit the governor general to ask her to dissolve Parliament, setting the campaign in motion.
Among decided and leaning voters, the Grits have 34.6% support; an increase of 1.4% from July, while the Tories have 31.7%; down 2.5%.
The NDP is third at 17.9%; an increase of 1.7%.
The survey found the Liberals hold significant leads in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, while the Conervatives lead in the Prairies and Alberta and New Democrats narrowly lead the Liberals in B.C.
Asked if it’s a good time to call an election, just under 65% say no, with the 4th wave likely top of mind among voters.
No demographic supports calling one now with opposition highest among Canadians over 65 years of age, and Ontario.
ndecided voters are most likely to think now’s not a good time to go to the polls, with Liberal and Conservative voters mostly likely to believe it is.
