Police in England have reached out authorities in Canada to trace a woman they think may have information on a 40-year old cold case.

On August 13th, 1981, the body of 36 year old Carol Morgan (above) was found in the store she owned in Bedfordshire.  She had been bludgeoned with a sharp and heavy instrument

Police want to talk with Sophia Hedges who may have also had the surnames Macdonald and Pick and who they say likely emigrated to Canada.

The cold case detectives says she may have information which could prove crucial.

British police are also looking to trace two other women in who lived nearly by at the time.

Two year’s ago a 70-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman from Brighton were arrested on suspicion of the murder. They were released but are still under investigation.
