The TTC is planning service cuts starting next month because a significant portion of its workforce won’t comply with its mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy.

In a statement, the transit agency says beginning November 21st, the day after the deadline for workers to get immunized, the schedules will include “small and temporary service reductions” but did not provide specific details.

But says it’s committed to protecting service on the busiest bus routes like those on Wilson, Jane, Elginton, Finch and Lawrence East.

Other routes would see reductions similar to seasonal changes made during summer and around the December holidays.

Routes will continue to have the same operating hours.

TTC ridership is currently at about 50 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
