They didn’t call him the King for nothing.

And now, you can take the King’s crown.  Literally!

One of Elvis Presley’s gold-filled dental crowns is going up for sale as part of Kruse – GWS Auctions’ upcoming sale of Hollywood and Music artifacts.

The crown has some history.

Apparently one of Elvis’s fiancees originally gifted it to American singer Jimmy Velvet in the 1960s.  It later wound up in a private collection after being bought in the 1990s from the Elvis Presley Museum.

There’s more Elvis memorabilia available, including a handwritten letter to his cousin when he was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany 1958 and an Elvis guitar signed by Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant.

The auction takes place December 4th.

Bidding on the crown is expected to start around $25 hundred.
