On Tuesday morning, there were between 300 and 400 TTC buses still stuck in the snow after Monday’s blizzard.

Wednesday morning, Toronto’s mayor announced an improvement.

“It’s now down, I’m pleased to report, 150 buses,” John Tory revealed, “And that sounds extraordinary but it was an extraordinary storm…Work is going to be continuing to remove those buses and either tow them away or take them to the garage.”

At the height of the storm on Monday, 540 TTC buses were stuck.

John Tory is also thanking residents of Toronto for their patience, and is asking people to give crews one more day to get streets and sidewalks cleared of snow before calling 3-1-1.

The mayor says residents who are still waiting may check on how close crews are to their neighbourhood, by going to the city’s website, toronto.ca/PlowTO.
