The calls for Boris Johnson to resign are now coming from within his own party.
Veteran Conservative backbench MP David Davis had the most dramatic moment of Prime Minister’s Question Time in London on Wednesday.
“I’ll remind him of a quotation altogether too familiar to him of Leo Amery to (former Prime Minister) Neville Chamberlain,” said Davis. “You have sat there too long for the good you have done. In the name of God, go.”
Opposition MPs erupted in cheers after Davis spoke.
Davis said he’s backed the British Prime Minister through a lot in his time in office.

Johnson is coming under increased scrutiny over parties held at the prime minister’s residence of 10 Downing Street at the height of lockdowns in Britain.
Johnson is staying on the job–for now.
He announced today his government is easing all COVID-19 restrictive measures. He says the Omicron wave seems to have peaked.
