"HARVEST" 50-YEARS ON

Zoomers of a certain vintage may be surprised to find out that it was 50-years ago today they first heard the songs on this.

It was February 1st 1972, Neil Young’s seminal album “Harvest” was released spawning hits like “Old Man” and “Heart of Gold.”

“Harvest” was Young’s fourth studio album.  It featured the London Symphony Orchestra on two tracks and vocals by David Crosby, Graham Nash, Stephen Stills, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt.

“Old Man” peaked at 31 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Heart of Gold” reached No. 1.

The album was the best seller of 1972 in Canada and the U.S.
