Dave Redinger, a long-time member of the Zoomer Media family, has passed away of cancer.

He was 73.

First as host of ”Neighbourhood Mechanic,” then ”Dave’s Garage” and then ”Dave’s Corner Garage,” Dave Redinger co-hosted (with Alan Gelman) the longest running car show in Canada, which began in 2002, first at CHWO and then at AM 740 Zoomer Radio, where it’s heard Saturday mornings at 10.

His family says there was nothing more important to Dave than his family.

”He was also always looking for new things to learn and do.  Whether it was flying a plane, racing cars or finding new projects for the cottage.

His laughter was infectious and his stories were epic.”

To Dave’s wife of 49-years Barbara, their 6 children and 8 grandchildren, condolences from the Zoomer Media family, which includes the show’s many loyal listeners.
