More provinces have announced the beginning of the end of pandemic restrictions.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe is lifting the vaccine passport program on Monday saying it’s created two classes of citizens.
The indoor mask mandate is being dropped at the end of this month.
P-E-I plans to have most lifted for early April.
And the Quebec government is lifting most COVID-19 restrictions by March 14, with the exception of masks and vaccine passports.
Premier Francois Legault announced that beginning this Saturday, all limits on indoor gatherings will be removed.
“Right now, we can take a calculated risk and finally turn the page,” Legault told a news conference. “It will be up to each person to evaluate the risk.”
Then the following week on February 21st, entertainment and sports venues can open at half capacity and fully reopen with no limits a week after that on February 28.
The Bell Centre can reopen fully later on March 14 which is also when the government will revisit lifting mandates on masks and passports.
By the end of the month, working from home will no longer be mandatory for those with jobs where that’s possible.
Quebec reported 56 more deaths linked to virus and a drop in hospitalizations There are a total 2,380 patients, including 178 in intensive care.
