A thriller that tells the story of a mother who tries to rescue her daughter from a state-run institution has garnered 11 notations for this year’s Canadian Screen Awards.
“Night Raiders” is a dystopian, Indigenous-led film which is tied for most nods with the suburban drama “Scarborough.”
They’ll compete for best film against “Drunken Birds,” `”Night of the Kings” and “`Wildhood.”
The Canadian Screen Awards celebrate the best in homegrown film, television and digital media.
The bulk of the awards will be handed out during Canadian Screen Week, April 4th to 8th.
