At 82, folk music legend Judy Collins is releasing her first album of all original songs later this month.
Collins is well known for her Canadian connections.
She burst on the music scene in 1968 with her cover version of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” And, it’s been nearly sixty years since Leonard Cohen challenged Collins to start writing her own songs. That’s exactly what she’s done for “Spellbound,” her first album of entirely original material.
On February 25th, “Spellbound” arrives with Collins reminiscing about old lovers and her Colorado childhood.
The single, “When I Was a Girl in Colorado,” was released earlier this month.
