UKRAINIAN, RUSSIAN TALKS ARE PAUSED, EXPECTED TO RESUME TUESDAY

The latest round of talks have ended with no resolution to the war in Ukraine.
Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak tweeted ”a technical pause has been taken in the negotiations until tomorrow (Tuesday),” to allow for more work in the working sub-groups and clarification of individual definitions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is to address Canada’s Parliament Tuesday morning and U.S. Congress Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the White House is reportedly considering the possibility of President Joe Biden going to European in the coming weeks for face-to-face talks with leaders.
One possible site for the meetings would be Brussels – headquarters for NATO – along with other potential stops in Europe.
The International Committee of the Red Cross warns residents of Mariupol face a ”worst-case scenario” unless Russia and Ukraine reach agreement to ensure their immediate safety and access to humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, over 2.8-million refugees have fled to neighbouring countries.
The pace of the exodus has slowed in recent days but tens of thousands continue to arrive in countries such as Poland, Hungary and Romania.
