The federal government’s made it official.
Starting next month, pre-entry testing for fully vaccinated travellers will be dropped at airports and land border crossings.
Ottawa says it’ll continue randomly testing travellers to identify and track variants.

Unvaccinated Canadians returning home will still have to quarantine and be tested on arrival, and again eight-days later.
Incoming tourists will still need to be vaccinated and all inbound travellers must upload their information to the AriveCan app.
The vaccine mandate for domestic and international flights flying out of Canada, for VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains and for cruise ships, will remain in effect for the time being.
