For those planning a trip to New York to take in a Broadway show, be advised, the rules are changing.
Most Broadway theatres have decided to stop checking the vaccination status of ticket holders as of April 30th but will continue to require that audience members wear masks inside theatres through at least May 31.
The Broadway League says since last fall, over five million people have seen a Broadway show, and the safety and security of cast, crew, and audience has been the top priority. League President Charlotte St. Martin says by maintaining strict audience masking through at least the month of May, they’ll continue the track record of safety for all.
In Toronto, Mirvish Theatres still require audience members to be masked. No word on when that might be lifted.
