It’s called ”Health Connect Ontario” and will replace the former Telehealth Ontario.
You can access it by calling 811 or going to its website, then click the blue chat box icon and connect with a registered nurse to receive health care services and information.
Previously with Telehealth, you could only call to speak to a nurse over the phone, which usually meant a long wait.
The province says the ”easy-to-use” website will help you ”avoid unnecessary visits to emergency departments and unneeded delays in accessing care, helping to preserve hospital capacity for when it is needed most.”
This new service is for non-urgent health care information only and does not replace 911.
