Last week we told you about a tiny book, created and written by a 13-year old Charlotte Bronte in 1829, that was for sale in New York for $1.25 million.

We’re happy to report, the book sold for the asking price and is heading home to the remote parsonage on the moors of northern England where it was made.

The miniature book, which contains Bronte’s last unseen poems, was bought by a charity and will be donated to the Bronte Parsonage Museum.

“A Book of Rhymes” recently resurfaced after nearly a century.  It was last seen at auction in 1916 in New York, where it sold for $520 dollars.

The latest buyer is the “Friends of the National Libraries” a British charity, which will send the book to the Bronte Museum in Yorkshire, home to one of the world’s largest collections of Bronte manuscripts.
