The Zoomer Advocacy group CARP has come up with a list of the most pressing issues in this provincial election.

Called THE CARP 5  at number one is fund better home care, transform long term care, drastically cut wait times, and coming in at numbers 4 and 5, make vaccines more accessible and fund fitness for seniors.

CARP is encouraging the over 200,000 members in Ontario to champion THE CARP 5 as they speak with candidates in ridings across Ontario.

Over 95% of CARP members vote and over 5 million eligible voters in this province are over 60.

“The CARP 5 election priorities are completely non-partisan,” said Anthony Quinn, CARP Chief Community Officer and Ontario Election Lead. “They are must-haves for older adults in Ontario and we believe that every party and every candidate should be able to say that they support THE CARP 5, and that they will act immediately to implement them, if elected.”
