Veteran Broadway star Angela Lansbury will soon receive a special lifetime achievement Tony award.
As part of the announcement, Lansbury’s contributions to the stage are said to be insurmountable.
Of course, she is also known for her television blockbuster Murder She Wrote, which airs on our sister station Vision TV.
Lansbury, who is now 96, made her debut on Broadway in 1957 in Hotel Paradiso. She has since won Tonys for Mame, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd and A Little Night Music.
Angela Lansbury also performed on the Mirvish stage here in Toronto in a production called Blythe Spirit back in 2015.
She will receive her special Tony on June 12th.
