The Ontario Cannabis Store says a cyberattack faced by one of its logistics partners has left the provincial pot distributor unable to deliver orders to marijuana shops and customers.
To protect customers, the O.C.S. says the parent company of its third-party distribution centre, Domain Logistics, has shut down its operations until a full forensic investigation can be completed.
The O.C.S. says there is no indication that its systems were targeted or its customers’ information was compromised during the August 5th attack.
The O.C.S. adds it is working closely with Domain Logistics and third-party cybersecurity experts to conduct an investigation, which is expected to be completed within the coming days.
Domain Logistics did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
