The author of the 1995 best selling novel, “The Horse Whisperer” has died.

Nicholas Evans’ book was turned into a movie of the same name in 1998 starring Robert Redford.

Evan’s representatives have confirmed the English author has died of a heart attack.

“The Horse Whisperer” sold 15-million copies world wide and was translated into 40 languages

His other books include “The Brace,” “The Loop,” “The Divide” and “The Smoke Jumper.”

Nicholas Evans was 72.
