A best selling American novelist, who also wrote for television, has died.
Michael Malone won an EMMY for his work as head writer on the soap “One Live to Live” and was an English professor at Duke University.
The North Carolina native published more than a dozen novels, including the rollicking “Handling Sin” in 1983 and “Uncivil Seasons” which marked his first foray into the mystery genre.
Michael Malone has died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 79
