He found fame on the stage and in front of the TV cameras playing among his many roles, Elaine’s doctor on Seinfeld.
Richard Roat was also known for his work on “Friends” and early in his career on the soap opera, “The Doctors.”
He had more than 130 TV credits to his name, including appearances on “The Fugitive,” “Hawaii Five-O,” “Columbo,” “Kojak,” “The Bob Newhart Show” and “Happy Days.”
Richard Roat has died in California at the age of 89.
No further details released by his family.
