Music superstar, Sir Elton John paused his concert in Toronto last night to remember Queen Elizabeth II.

He told a sold out crowd at Rogers Centre that he was saddened by the Queen’s passing, saying she’d been with him his entire 75 years.  He said he was glad she was at peace and at rest and added she deserved it, she worked “bloody hard.”  He then dedicated “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” to her.

Elizabeth knighted Sir Elton in 1998 for his contributions to music and charitable organizations.

He was playing Toronto for the final time on his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.”
