We learned on Monday, the new Omicron targeted bivalent COVID-19 vaccine is now available to Ontario residents considered the most vulnerable, including people 70 and older, long term care residents and healthcare workers.

Indigenous people and their household members 18 and over, immunocompromised people 12 and over, and those who are pregnant are also eligible as of Monday September 12th.

To prioritize distribution to the most vulnerable, new booster appointments for Ontarians aged 18 and over will be paused until September 26.

You may book an appointment for the new bivalent vaccine at ontario.ca/covid19 or by calling 1-833-943-3900.

The new vaccine roll out comes after the province received its first shipment of the Omicron-tailored shots last week.
