As Canada marks the second national Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, the arts community is doing its part to raise awareness of residential schools, those who survived and families and communities still affected by the lasting trauma.

To mark the day, the creator of Toronto’s “Voices Rock Canada,” Cheryl Bower co-wrote a song called LITTLE ANGELS with her Indigenous friend Susan O’Quinn is singing lead.

Cheryl and Susan say it’s the songwriters, the story tellers, the artists, and allies who will help elevate understanding and compassion by raising awareness thru music, art and word.
