The interim chair of Hockey Canada’s board of directors has stepped down.

Andrea Skinner had been in the role since August, taking over from former chair Michael Brind’Amour.

it comes amid intense scrutiny and subsequent fallout surrounding Hockey Canada’s handing of sexual assault allegations.

In May, it was revealed that an undisclosed settlement had been paid to a woman who alleged she was sexually assaulted by eight players after a 2018 gala in London, Ontario, and further allegations of gang sexual assault involving the 2003 world junior team emerged in July.
