The Royal Canadian Legion is welcoming back the veterans parade.
Sidelined for two years due to the pandemic, the parade is one of the most iconic aspects of Remembrance Day for veterans to honour fallen comrades.
It also allows Canadians to express their thanks and appreciation for their service.
Retired chief petty officer first class Jake McDavid is leading the parade that attracts veterans from all over Canada.
“It’s rather shocking when you talk to families and veterans that come from the Maritimes, come from Vancouver Island to participate and the cost that they incurred and it’s a lifetime experience for them, so we try to make it memorable for everybody” said McDavid.
The parade was cancelled the past two years due to COVID-19.
