There was a fitting tribute to the late Queen of Country Music at last night’s CMAs in Nashville.

The show opened with Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire performing a medley of Loretta Lynn’s hits, including “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” as images of the late singer were projected behind them and audience members sang along.

Lynn’s career spanned six decades and included a number of gold records.

She died in her sleep October 4th of this year at the age of 90.
