CUBAN GRAMMY WINNER DIES AT 79

He was a Grammy-winning balladeer who helped found Cuba’s “nueva trova” movement.

Pablo Milanes, who toured the world as a cultural ambassador for Fidel Castro’s revolution, has died in Spain, where he was being treated for cancer.

Milanes recorded dozens of albums over a career that spanned more than five decades.

Pablo Milanes was 79.
