He was once one of the top comics in the Catskills and the Dean of the Friars Club.
Freddy Roman has died after suffering a heart attack in Florida.
He made his name performing in the Borscht Belt for the largely Jewish crowd that vacationed there in the 1950s. He played all the major venues in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and roasted the likes of Rob Reiner, Chevy Chase, Jerry Stiller and Hugh Hefner at the Friar’s Club.
Freddy Roman, dead at the age of 85.
