There have been more random attacks on the TTC.

A man is wanted by Toronto police for allegedly attacking two passengers on the subway on  Thursday.

Brandonn Sevilla-Zelaya, 25, from Toronto, is wanted in connection with two unprovoked attacks on the TTC subway on Dec. 15, 2022.

The first happened at 10 p.m. when the suspect boarded the subway at Kennedy Station and allegedly punched a male passenger.

An hour later, the same man attacked a female passenger and then stole her headphones and uttered a death threat.

TTC spokesperson Stuart Green says transit agency is taking steps to improve safety.

“Clearly there’s a broader issue at play here with respect to public safety which is why yesterday, our CEO met with Chief Ramer, met with the Mayor, and the head of the union to discuss this very issue,” said Green. “What’s happening on the TTC is evidence of something broader that’s happening in society.

Green says extra safety measures have been added including additional staff visible.

Last week, a 31-year-old woman was stabbed to death near High Park Station and in another incident a TTC driver was assaulted and robbed at the Long Branch loop.
